A DSLR is meant for taking photos, but in the past ten years or so, Canon has started including video sensors and other features which make those cameras better suited to video. The BlackMagic camera is designed specifically for video, not stills. Ultimately the camera you go with will depend on several factors (your specific budget, what you want to film, the environment in which you will film, etc).
